UC100 plugin (Mach 4) configuration

Postby alex2017 » Mon May 29, 2017 8:50 am

Hi there,

I recently both a UC100 motion controller and I would like to use it with Mach 4.
I successfully installed the plugin and can see it in Mach4.
Nevertheless, In the UC100 manual I cannot find any information how shall I configure the motion controller for a particular Breakout board.

If I understand correctly, the most of the breakout boards have some specific pin mapping which needs to be configured in Mach4 or UC100 configuration.
Can somebody explain where this can be configured when using UC100 plugin for Mach 4?

Thanks!

Best regards,
Alex

Alex,

We do not have a Mach4 manual for the UC100 yet, but you have to setup about everything in Mach4 as it is described in the Mach4 manuals.
So, I advice you to study the Mach4 manuals first.

The UC100 specific things are the pin assignments which are available on the UC100 plugin window.
But first of all you have to select the UC100 as the motion control device in Mach4.
After that you open the UC100 plugin window and assing the pins to the functions (e.g. the step and dir signals).
And the rest is all Mach4 configuration described in the Mach4 manual.
