A-Axis will only jog one direction

Like the title says, the A-axis (rotary) will only jog one way. I have a homing switch, it's not used for limits, it's set to rotary and rollover on 360 is ticked.

I feel like I'm missing something really dumb, but I'm tired of banging my head against the wall. Any suggestions?

Also, override limits won't activite, making it difficult to move the other axis' if I accidentally jog an axis to its limit. It seems like the two issues are related.

Edit: Home All works fine for all axis

What version of UCCNC are you using, and what controller? I think I remember this was a bug in an older version?

I'm using a UC300eth-5lpt. I'm on the most recent test release with the black and blue screen set. I can reverse the direction of the axis and it switches the working button, but still only one direction for the a-axis. The axis will home and back off the switch as directed, meaning it runs two directions.

For what it's worth, the a-axis runs both ways in Mach 3. Not shitting on UCCNC, just confused about why I can't get it work.

So trying to jog in the A+ and A- direction both move in the same direction?
Keyboard, onscreen jog buttons, or both?
Do the DRO's only count in one direction?

In Demo mode, it appears to work fine?

My advice is to post your profile file if you want us to test the problem.

The problem is with the soft limits. If you turn off the soft limits then it will jog to A+ too. Rotary axes and soft limits are not friends... :)

So if I have a rotary axis I can't use soft limits at all as that setting is global to all axis? Seems like that's the case.

Yes, soft limit is active for all axes.

10-4, thanks.

I'll give this a try when I get home. It will be interesting to see if the flyout buttons start functioning correctly.
