Laser control issue

I'm trying to set up a laser on my DIY router, uc400eth controller. I have my laser powered with 12v and the pwm set to pin 14 from the uc400eth. I can turn the laser on with the spindle button and control the intensity with the S slider.
However, when I try to use the laser engraving plugin, is only fires the laser at low intensity and does not change. Is there something I'm missing?

The laser plugin is using the Laser output pin not the spindle PWM is the issue.
You find it in the I/O settings.

Thanks, that worked.
Now I'm trying to figure out how to have the laser burn back and forth on my Y axis instead of my X axis. Is there a way to do that? Or would I have to reconfigure my machine and swap the axes?
