Just an FYI - I've had a similar (but not identical) with probing using the 2017 screenset. UCCNC v1.2101 & 2017 screenset v1.011
What happens is that during the Auto Zero function the Z-axis will rapid the spindle probe down rather than retracting to the clearance plane. The unintended move happens after the 2nd probe touch; there is a slight delay while the macro calcs are done and DRO is zeroed and then the Z-axis plunges down at rapid speed.
All functions are normal until after the 2nd touch, and I've not been able to duplicate the error by adjusting probe speeds, clearance plane or other variables.
This has happened 3 or 4 times and smashed my probe stylus up in to the probe body. My probe stylus is a stainless rod press fit in a delrin collar, so I was able to tap it back out and re-center/verify everything was OK, but I've stopped using the Auto Zero function as I'm tired of rebuilding my probe.
Hadn't mentioned it until now as I figured it was something I was doing wrong, but maybe not now.
