So the last two beta versions are giving me the virus alert deal again. Is anyone else getting them? Win10 is update to the latest official release. UCCNC is the latest beta release. Here is a pic of the error code.

It's nothing new, Windows Defender is getting more and more broken unfortunately.
Last time it told a different type of virus and when we sent in the UCCNC.exe file they verified and said that it contains no viruses and is a false alert and the issue is on their side and will be fixed.
I guess they again updated their virus definitions and broke something else this time.
I don't really know how to fix this issue when the file contains no viruses for sure.
Last time we have added some extra unused codes just to broke some file patterns which the antiviruses could think that is a virus and that worked, but we can't do this all the time, it is tiresome.

The software is compiled on a fully isolated system from source code with no internet on the PC and the PC can't even execute anything else than Visual Studio and a few other things which are required for the compilation. Everything else is prohibited on that computer. And only I have access to that computer. So, it is basicaly impossible that a virus gets into the compilation.

BTW, it does not give a false alert on the latest test release 1.2109.
It does for version 1.2108.
So, the quick solution for now is to run the latest test release. Probably only until Microsoft will break something else in Defender. :(

I added an exception to Defender for the UCCNC folder.

Yeah, not like I think it's a virus and it's easy enough to just add as an exception. Was just simply pointing out it's happening again is all.

OK, you did not mention that you knew about that it happened earlier, so I did not know what information you have is why I described in details.
And 1.2109 seems to not trigger any false alert, so you could use that version for now. It is recommended to use that anyways, because 1.2108 has some issues as listed in the test releases thread, so better upgrade anyways.

FYI - Windows 10 updated two nights ago and Defender deleted UCCNC.exe (1.2109) without any error messages or anything.

Ran the reinstall executable and got a virus alert for 1.2109. Adding an exception allowed installation to proceed, and all settings & profiles were intact.
