Issues loadingAXBB ethernet on my laptop

Postby gills » Sun Jun 04, 2023 7:26 pm

I have a new Windows 10 64 bit laptop that I plan on dedicating to just the cnc machine. I was going through the AXBB ethernet setup and I can not get the util.exe file to run. Going through the UCCNC instructions I captured screen shots of most of the critical steps. I have them in order from 1 to 5. Can you anyone look at these and help figure out where I am stuck at??

Thank you

Here is the part and file that isn't working from section 5.2 of the manual. The UCxxx_utility I had to copy it on a jump drive from my desktop and load it on my laptop. When I manually started it and the UC xxx utility V1.6 window opens up, the same one in the attached pic, I hit the scan button and nothing happens.

So if I understand you correctly the utility software runs but the device scan with it does not give any results?
You do not even get a no device found text?

That is very strange, I've never seen that and currently I don't see what could cause it.
I mean if nothing is found in the scanning process then still there should be a message stating that no controller was found.

I am going to remove the files from my computer and redo the setup and see if I get a different result. So I need to download the setup file before I setup the adv network correct?

Oh, wait, I just realised that you using the utility tool 1.6 , but the AXBB-E was released with the utility tool 1.8., so you need that or newer version to work with the AXBB-E.
Please download the latest UCCNC software and the utility tool in it is version 1.8. and that will work with your AXBB-E.
