Mach 3 displaying only 1 part in a 21 part multinest cut pro

Postby gills » Fri May 26, 2023 7:56 pm

I am using the AXBB-E controller and a friend of mine made a 21 piece cut program for me from Aspire cut 2D. He uses MAch 3 and so do I. For clarification I have ran multiple single part cut programs with this controller on mach 3 with no issues.
When I loaded the g code file it only displayed the first part to be cut and that was it. The rest of it was no where to be found. This program is nested on a 48" x 32" sheet of plywood so it is quite a few parts. I also swapped to my older USB motion controller unit and plugged it in and got the same result. I put in a ticket request to Artsoft/ Mach 3, and Trevor responded with my "my motion controller plugin files were broken and not reading the G code." So they haven't been much help. The attached screen shot shows the single part that I see when I load the file. To me their response doesnt make sense because I can load other programs on both controllers and cut the program. Does anyone have any clue as to what is going on?

Thank you

Hi,

Seems to me that "Trevor" does not know how Mach3 works.
The Mach3 toolpath display has nothing to do with the motion control plugin.

Is your Mach3 licensed?
If it runs in demo mode then it only displays and executes the first 500 lines of g-code.

You are correct, in Trevor's emails he seemed to be bothered about replying to my ticket. But to your point, yes Sir I do have a licensed version of Mach 3. I think I am going to try an uninstall and then reinstall Mach and see if that makes a difference.

Is it licensed in your name? There are licenses out there that will run in demo mode.

How the nesting was programmed CAN effect the toopath view. Was it programmed using offsets ?? Try running or dry running the code to see if it cuts properly. Upload a copy of the Gcode program so others can take a look at it.

UPDATE: I copied my XML files, .dll files, MAch 3 license all to my documents. I uninstalled MAch 3 and downloaded the latest version from Artsoft and reloaded my license and its working. My file loaded and fully displayed on the Mach 3 screen. I have no idea what was blocking it, but completely removing Mach and reinstalling allowed everything to reset properly. I really appreciate all of your responses. Everyone here is a great group of people.

I think it was probably a license problem if it got solved this way. Good to hear you got it resolved.

Im not sure what gremlin it was. I removed the license and put it back several times and nothing changed.
