this is the security patch for xp. i know a lot of us are still using xp with our machines. i have installed it on my office email pc.
no guarantees its going to do what its supposed to do- but its better than being totally defenceless

Can you tell a bit more about what this patch is doing?
Are there any info about this on a Windows website? Maybe you can post a link?

as far as ive read it blocks the smb1 server message block which is the vunerable bit
it was forwarded to me by my it network mate.
smb2 and 3 are suposed to be ok ?
apart from that- i dont understand sorry. i leave that to microsoft!

I must say that it is interesting and very professional of Microsoft to take care of those who still use XP. Even if they don't care to carry on with the product, it is nice that they provide some support.
