Hello everyone!!

I am researching the types of breakout boards to use for my CNC system. I would like to know the advantages and disadvantages of each type of breakout board that CNC Drive offers. Which one would be best if I need to connect multiple axes with high precision and support future expansion features? If you have experience with any of the products in the list of breakout boards from CNC Drive, please share your thoughts and advice.

Thanks a lot!

What one would typically do, is figure out every component you will have in your system, and then count up the number of inputs and outputs you would need to control everything. Then choose a motion controller and breakout board or boards that will meet your needs.

I would like to add that it also depends on the features that your application calls for.

Here are the options that we offer:

We only have 2 breakout boards, the UCBB and the UCSB.
The UCBB is a dual port breakout board, it is compatible with the UC300ETh-5LPT motion controller.
You can connect max. 2pcs UCBB boards to the UC300ETH-5LPT.

The UCSB is a single port breakout board and it is compatible with all of our motion controllers.
You can connect 1pc to the UC100, 2pcs to the UC400ETH, 2pcs to the UC300ETH-5LPT, 1pc to the AXBB-E.

And there is the AXBB-E which is a motion controller with built in breakout board functionalities, and you can optionally extend it with one UCSB breakout board.
