Running uccnc with micro intel pc

Postby Battwell » Sat Sep 14, 2019 2:52 pm

Just fitted a intel pro 8 micro fanless pc to my machine to test.
Comes with windows 10 pro pre installed
Full 4 k hd graphics
WiFi
Bluetooth
Usb3
Sd card slot for extra memory.

I purchased 5 of these @ £75 each from eBay

Setup was simple
Seems to run very well.
It’s fanless so no more dust suck in on old big pc
And only consumes 2watts so can be left on 24/7.

I run UCCNC on a fanless mini PC as well. Though yours is better suited than mine; better graphics handling. It makes for a nice, neat setup. Only one network cable from the PC over to my UC300ETH.

Man I love your setup! Makes me want to add a tool changer and retractable dust shoe to mine. Well done. You must use a macro to run your tool changes, along with a couple more outputs to drive pneumatic valves?

not bad for £75 at all

I've been running a fanless pc for a while n3150, and a few months ago upgraded to a fanless i7.

I don't but I could run dual touchscreen monitors in different locations in the workshop

Have you had any problems so far?
And did you manage to check the cpu load?
