X nad A axis setup

Postby Kivlow » Wed Jan 16, 2019 7:26 am

Hello,
i setup my uc300eth wit uccnc.
I connect uc300 with hdbb2 and i want to use Port1 from uc300 but when i set on x-axis port 1 i cant save this setting ?? When i use port 2 it works fine.

Second question what number to write on turn per unit in A axis (4th axis with chuck) there is no ball screw i only have nema 23 200step + chuck with gearbox 1:100 na i set driver to 1/2 step.

How to connect to hdbb2 relay to start mist. I have 5V/230V relay for my air valve.

The last question i have vfd when i can set up 0-5V (VR) to control how to set this using hdbb2. Do i need some relay to start/stop spindle??

Hello Kamil,

The UC300 has 2 normal I/O ports: #2 and #3. The others (#1, #4, #5) have only input pins, so that is why you cannot set an output to these ports. (See manual.) The HDDB2 works only with port #2 and #3, because the HDDB2 is an I/O card.

To set the rotary A you have to calculate the steps per 1 degree, because normally the rotary axes are driven by degrees. In your case 200 x 100 steps per 360 degrees gives 55.555555 steps/unit. (20000/360)

The HDDB2 has 4 open drain outputs. For your 5V relay you need a separate 5V power supply. Connect the 5V- to one of the PGND pins, the 5V+ to one end of the relay coil and the other end of the coil to Output1, 2, 3 or 4. (12V relay should be better, because it could use the supplied 12V. See 7.1.2 in HDDB2 manual.)

OK I Got it :]
DCM on vfd upper line - ground HDBB2 pin 24
FOR on vfd upper line - Output1 HDBB2 pin 26
REV on vfd upper line - Output2 HDBB2 pin 28
And you can control spindle forward and reverse :]

ACM on vfd bottom line - ground HDBB2 pin 31
VI on vfd bottom line - Analog Output HDBB2 pin 32

SET on VFD P070 to 1 (it is 0-5V) and p001 to 1 (control board)

And you can in uccnc control speed with S parameter like S12000 :]
