Quardrature threading questions

Postby bpratl » Fri Feb 23, 2018 10:47 am

Is quadrature encoder lathe threading supported in UCCNC with a UC400ETH board?
Is the Mach 4 plugin using quadrature inputs or single index pulse for lathe threading?
UC400ETH,W7 - lathe G0602
UC300ETH/M44B/C62 - mill G0619 - 4 axis (in process)

Yes, G32 simple thread cutting and G76 complex thread cutting codes are supported in the UCCNC and the syncronisation can be done with the spindle incremental encoder. Single index only mode is not supported, only incremental A, B and Index is supported.
No, our Mach4 plugins do not support thread cutting at all with Mach4. We could not make that function to work in Mach4.
