Probe Gage Height not respected after switching to 1.2117

Postby Dale » Sat Mar 22, 2025 4:40 pm

I loaded ver 1.2117 and now I cannot use my M31 macro to probe surface of my workpiece.
It probes just fine, but it no longer adjusts the z offset. Lost an end mill and project as a result.

Here is my M31 macro.
Any idea what's changed from 1.2113 and 1.2117 that renders this macro useless?

I think you have the same problem as I do. In the previous versions when probing Z (tool length) you didnt need to activate/deactivate "count guage height (or whatever the name is)" so I always do it wrong, that makes endmills break and projects scrapped !

And in my opinion its a bit random, but I can be wrong here, one thing is sure and that is the frustration....

Incredibox Hey Dale, have you tried comparing the output logs or release notes between version 1.2113 and 1.2117? I'm wondering if there's a change in the way the software handles macros or system variables that causes the G92, G10 command line, or Z offset update to not work as before?
