UCSB Laser TTL

Postby heffer86 » Thu Oct 05, 2023 3:15 pm

I am re-arranging my AXBB-E wiring and would like to move my laser signal to my UCSB board. Currently My laser is set to Port1 Pin 17 and 5v0. It works fine. Could I just move it over to my UCSB and pick an output and the 5v0 on the UCSB? The UCSB can do Step/Dir command so I figured it could do this also.

Hi,

Yes, you can use the 5V0 and output pin of the UCSB.
The UCSB has high speed isolated outputs using 10Mbit/sec opto-isolators, so it should work fine with your laser and it can also output step/dir signals without problem.
