UC400ETH - HDBB2 - DM556 - Trouble making axis' move

Postby Waspy » Wed Jun 17, 2020 2:29 am

I recently upgraded controllers to the UC400ETH and HDBB2, to connect to my DM556 steppers and purchased UCCNC alongside that. Im almost certain Ive wired it up correctly, UCCNC is licensed and its finding the controller fine, and thinks everything is all good but Im not getting any movement in my actual motors. UCCNC thinks its moving, but nothing is happening at all.

I have the UC400ETH > HDBB2 -->

Each RJ45 connection has
Pin 1 > Pulse +
Pin 2 > Dir +
Pin 3 > Pulse - and bridged to Dir -

The stepper > motors are wired and powered as they were with my previous controller where they were moving fine.
Motors are receiving power and are locked in position.

I have a 24v supply on the UC400ETH and a small 12v 1.5a on the HDBB2, as these are all I have on hand now. Waiting on a larger 12v supply to power both off the one, could this be the issue?

The pins are set as the manual lays them out for each axis.

Is this a wiring/hardware problem or should I be moving along to software?
