AXBB-E interface ASD-B2-0421-B driver

Postby sn4k3 » Sun Feb 23, 2020 8:31 pm

Hello,
I just adquired an AXBB-E and thinking go with ASD-B2-0421-B + ECMA-C20604R
I'm already studing the manual of driver (http://www.deltaww.com/filecenter/Produ ... 141217.pdf), there on wiring page (9) shows 4 possible connections to the control board, after looking i think the best and proper way to go is the diagram 2, using AXBB-E 24V external PSU. Diagram 1) use the driver internal 24V psu but have to tie driver and axbb-e 24v GND which i think is not the best right? Some power can leak from driver to AXBB-E?
Also working with 24v logic i need to use the isolated outputs on AXBB-E instead of non-isolated right?

Wiring depends on your application as you have 4 operating modes.

Sorry I cannot see which diagram on page 9... Which page 9.... Pdf page 9 is the index, 1-9 does not exist, 2-9 3-9 ?????

I use one of these for a lathe spindle and I use PT (position) and S (speed) depending upon what I wish to do.... Standard lathe application is S speed control mode..... Indexing spindle is PT position

yes, page 9 is the Position Control (step and direction input)

what is the application for the servo motor? Linear movement or a spindle?

Linear movement, YXZ Axis.
I think the most correct way to go with ABXX-E is the "Pulse input, for the use of external power supply (Open-collector input)", figure2, using isolated outputs, correct?
