That board looks very complete. You chose the UC300ETH for motion control over the smooth stepper. Is there a significant difference?

Well, I'm using UCCNC, and the Smoothstepper only works with Mach3/4.

There are two big differences.
For one, UCCNC is better than Mach3.
And second is the support. Warp9 has had poor plugin support from day one. And they've been working on their Mach4 plugin for 3 years now.

In addition to what Gerry said:

CncDrive makes both UCcnc AND the motion controllers, that's a huge plus. You've got one company doing it all, not completely independent ones adding to anothers product. And they are BOTH being actively developed now, whereas Mach3 is an old buggy software (but it still has a place in my heart).

Regarding Warp9 support, I was considering buying a Smoothstepper and asked Warp9 a question, and got no answer. I didn't consider dealing with Warp9 again.
Look here, not only with the support but the quality of the support. I am always impressed with how Balazs gives detailed explanations to questions.
