How did you determinate that the 200kHz kernel frequency is too much?
I mean did you try to set the kernel frequency to 200kHz, but set the velocity to the level where the steppers of servos you have could still handle the velocity?
I think you should check with some lower velocity setting and 200kHz kernel frequency if the system can handle that or not?
If it can't then really the kernel frequency is too high for the drives, but if the drives can handle the low speed with a 200kHz kernel frequency then just the velocity was too high and not the kernel frequency.
I will ask my API developer collegue about what he thinks about implementing mid-range kernel frequencies like 150kHz.
