exec.code & exec.codesync (macro)

Postby Robertspark » Wed Nov 28, 2018 7:52 pm

I'm having a senior moment again....

exec.code && exec.codesync functions do they make any difference in macros or is codesync just beneficial in plugins?

Would if be possible to explain to me as a basic user

I've read this thread many times, but I don't understand it.
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=84&p=340&hilit=codesync#p340

It appears that exec.code will create separate threads every time it is called.

But codesync will only operate in one sequential thread.

In simple terms this appears to suggest that if you have two sequential exec.code functions, the second one may finish being implemented before the first and they may be out of sync...... Is that the case in "simple" terms to a layman? If so...... why not just use exec.codesync all the time?

What is the advantage of exec.code?

Thanks
